Novus Odds launch: betting mathematics without placing a bet
Meet Novus Odds, a free probability simulation laboratory for synthetic betting markets. Configure odds, run Monte Carlo-style experiments, compare favorites and longshots, and study expected value, ROI, and variance — with no deposits, no wagers, and no sportsbook account.

Overview
Today we are adding Novus Odds to the Novus Stream Solutions portfolio. It is a free, browser-first probability simulation laboratory for anyone who wants to study betting mathematics without placing a wager. The tagline on the live site is deliberate: betting mathematics without placing a bet.
Odds exists because prices can look clever or foolish without revealing whether the underlying probability justifies them. The lab lets you configure synthetic markets, run Monte Carlo-style experiments across thousands or millions of events, and inspect win rates, odds buckets, expected ROI, observed ROI, streaks, and confidence intervals under assumptions you can actually name.
Informational by design
Novus Odds does not accept deposits, open sportsbook accounts, or automate betting. That is not a temporary limitation — it is the product. The interesting work is measuring relationships between price, probability, and variance, not collecting money or selling certainty.
We will keep that boundary explicit in every hub surface: documentation, tutorials, and this launch note. If a sentence sounds like a tip service, it does not belong to Odds.
The configure → generate → analyze loop
The live product walks a three-step loop. Configure the market: odds range, margin, pricing uncertainty, experiment size, stake, and a reproducible seed. Generate outcomes: synthetic prices, estimated probabilities, resolved events. Analyze the distribution: buckets, win rates, expected versus observed ROI, streaks, and intervals.
Reproducible seeds are first-class. A dramatic path that cannot be recreated is entertainment. A dramatic path you can rerun after changing one knob is science.
- Compare favorites and longshots by odds bucket instead of one blended win rate.
- Separate expected ROI from observed ROI so variance stays visible.
- Use confidence intervals and streak stats as anti-folklore tools.
Where to start
Open odds.novusstreamsolutions.com and run a first experiment. For a guided pass, use Getting started with Novus Odds: your first simulation, then dig into market configuration, buckets, EV/ROI, and variance tutorials. Canonical docs live at Novus Odds; the tool map is Tool maps.
Novus Odds is the seventh live app in the portfolio, joining the NSS Background Remover, Novus Visualizers, Novus PDF Studio, Novus Convert, Novus Learn, and Novus Examples — with Novus Striker arriving alongside it in early development.
